Are you already able to identify some differences between the learning culture in the UK and the learning culture in your own country? I am a student from China. As for me, Chinese teaching tend to be conducted by the tutor and the assignments are supposed to be done by individuals. UK is doing this in an opposite way, this is a my conclusion from the study of these days. UK's teaching culture focus on group work and the classes appear to be more active because of the students' paticipation.

I am Thai,so from my personal experience I can perceive that most of teaching system in Thailand, tutors are the center of a class, while it is different compared to British academic system.Students are focused as a center of a class, and they can improve their academic ability by attending seminar or group discussion.

I am a Chinese student too. I agree with the viewpoints above, but I think the situation is better for law school students. Because we often have class discussion and debates, and you are welcomed to have different opinions.
